History of Cricket
Hello friends,
When someone asked you what is your favorite game then what are you
saying. When I am asked to my friends what is your favorite game someone
answered Football, someone says Cricket, someone Basketball, Hockey, Tanis,
Volleyball, Golf, Baseball, Rugby, Badminton, Table Tanis, etc. But when anyone
asked me what is my favorite game then I am answered Cricket. Cricket is my
favorite. I like to play this game. Cricket is one of the most popular games in
this world and one of the oldest games also.
The origin of Cricket is unknown but so many people to say
Cricket was born in England. Cricket is played between two teams with 11
players a side. One team will elect to bat and other team bowls and fields. The
batting team aims to score as many runs as possible in batting pairs and the
fielding team trying to take wickets as soon as possible in there restricted over.
Once the 1st innings are completed then two team started there 2nd
innings. In the 2nd innings 1st innings batting team are
played bowling and 1st innings bowling team are played batting.
In 24 September 1844 at the St George’s Cricket Club,
Bloomingdale Park in New York Canada and USA played 1st
international match in Cricket history. It was a 3 days match and Canada won
the match by 23 runs.
The first international test match played between Australia
and England at Melbourne in March 15-19, 1877. Australia won the match by 45
runs.
Australia and England also played first one day
international ODI, match at Melbourne in Jan 5, 1971. It was a 40 over match
and Australia won the match by 5 wickets (with 42 balls remaining).
New Zealand and Australia are played 1st Twenty20
international match at Auckland in 17 February 2005. Australia won the match by
44 runs.
